On The Move

I think Pinterest is one of the best places to get inspired for moving or decorating. We are finally ready to start looking for a place of our own! We have been living with my in-laws for a year now, and I have been so grateful for everything they have done for us, but it's time for us to have our own space again.

I stopped at a thrift store today in hopes of finding a cool couch. I must have sat in about 20 couches, and I didn't like any of them! I forgot how picky I can be when it comes to a couch. I want something unique and fun (&clean!) so I'm not giving up. We are also looking at a potential Condo tonight, and I'm really excited! I'm also very picky when it comes to moving, so this will probably take a while, but I've got my fingers crossed!

The Jersey Shore

Saturday, September 14, 2013

If haven't seen the news lately, Seaside Heights went up in flames. I was shocked as I watched the news. I saw the boardwalk burning away, being ravaged by flames. Luckily before all this happened, my wife and I went to the boardwalk before everything had closed for the end of summer. The boardwalk and all the shops were still rebuilding from the destruction that Sandy had left behind. You can see the cranes and storage bins in the last two pictures.

All the boardwalks in New Jersey are beautiful and a lot of fun. It makes me sad to see one of the most famous boardwalks become demolished....and if any of you wondering, this is the same boardwalk that made Snooki and the MTV Jersey Shore people famous.

Goodbye Summer

Sunday, September 8, 2013

Last weekend (Labor Day Weekend) was our last outing for the summer. We spent it camping at the Spring Gulch campground in Pennsylvania. It was kind of hot, and the humidity wasn't very nice to us, but over all it was a great trip. Camping is never really glamorous, but my in-laws are pretty awesome at it. They come prepared for everything. They even have a portable bathroom. This year we had a screened in eating area, which was very nice. Bugs tend to love me, but this trip I escaped with only one bug bite!

I can't believe summer is over now. The kids have gone back to school, and so have I! This semester I have signed myself up for philosophy and English II. That's a lot of writing! First day of class my professor already had us write an essay at the beginning of class. So I apologize in advance if my blog posts do not include a lot of descriptions. I hope you all have had a great summer, but I am very excited for Fall. It's my favorite season! I can't wait to wear cozy sweaters and eat all there is that is pumpkin flavored! How about you?

If you could see any artist/band live which would you choose?
Via: poponandon
There are so many bands/artists I would love to see! I don't really have much time (or money) but I would like to see Cold Play, Mumford & Sons, Regina Spector, Pink, just to name a few. I listen to a lot of music and as you can tell, my taste in music is over the place.

Which blog are you in love with that you only found out about recently?
Via: Becky Bedbug
I've actually known about Becky's blog for a while now, just recently I have been reading it a lot more. She is so adorable, and we have so much in common! I love that she is just as obsessed with Harry potter as I am.

What hobbies do you have that we don't know about?
Via: about moths
I have been interested in lepidopterology since I was a little girl. I love moths and butterflies. The Luna Moth is my all time favorite, among many others. I'm also obsessed with caterpillars. I can't wait to study them more, if I ever get some free time.

If money wasn't a problem.. what would be your dream destination?
Via: Imagesangry
I know a lot of people probably choose far away romantic destinations, but I'm a huge Disney nerd, and I love anything that has to do with the imagination. I spent all of my younger school days (Elementary through H.S.) going to Disneyland. I had yearly passes. Then as an adult I continued my Disney fandom by introducing it to my kids. So my dream destination as of late is Disney World, since we live on the east now and are much more closer then before.

If you could meet any blogger in person, who would you pick?
Via: Caked Vintage

This lovely blogger is Jessa From Caked Vintage. We have been really good friends for 2 years now. I call her my blogger B.F.F. We talk all the time. I would love to hang out one day! Unfortunately she lives in Cali, and I'm all the way in New Jersey. It would be so much fun if we could collaborate blog posts together! Hopefully someday we will meet and eat cupcakes, go vintage shopping, and gossip...til then we have messenger!

Other bloggers I would love meet are : Jenny from Everyday is a Holiday, Jodi from Cupcake Earthquake, Rachelle from Nearsighted Owl, Crissy from Candypow, Megan from Adventures in Mediocrity and so many more....

What's something we may not know about you?
Via: The Dainty Squid
I never talk about it on here, but since we're on the topic of bloggers, I know Kaylah from The Dainty Squid, in real life. She was at my wedding in 2011. She's engaged to my Wife's brother. She's totally adorable with her fun colored hair, cool shoe collection, and silly kitty cats. Not to mention the cute puppy they have too!

So that's it! Thank you Crissy from CandyPow for tagging me, I love question tags! Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great week so far. We just got back from camping, and I have some fun pictures to share with you guys soon....xoxo
