Oh my! Two cupcake posts in a row! Makes me hungry...haha. Anyway I can't believe this year is almost over. This is my last Cupcake Sunday post for this year, and what an awesome year it has been. I have learned in so many ways that you really never know where a year can take you. I have been on so many different paths and who knew they would lead me here to the Jersey shore. I also have lots of posts in mind for the upcoming year. Of course my next post will be my list of New Year's Resolutions.  I already started one, which is to lose some weight, and I've already lost 11 lbs! I'm really excited about that. On another note my birthday is in a few days too! I'm soooooo excited!

I hope everyone has a safe New Year. I will be back on the 2nd! See you soon!

Cupcake Recap- Made by Me In 2012

Nacho Cupcakes made for the Super Bowl party.

Cupcakes baked in silicone wrappers
Minion Cupcakes made for of my favorite movies!

 Super yummy Oreo Cupcakes !

Chocolate dipped vanilla cupcakes with white chocolate spider webs!

This year was a good year for cupcakes! I'm so proud of these top five. I put a lot of love in all my baking, but I especially love all my cupcakes. There are quite a few that didn't end up on my blog, for one reason or another, but I still plan on baking a lot in 2013. I have lots of ideas swimming around in head for upcoming cupcakes. I've also learned a lot of different frosting techniques. My kids also bought me a cake-pop maker for Christmas and I really  can't wait to use it. My daughter also got a bunch of cake mixes for her easy bake oven, and I can't wait to see her little mother like daughter :)

Anyway, so many cupcake ideas so little time! On my New Year's resolution list is to bake more...what about you? I will definitely look around the blogosphere for some fun ideas too!

And I'm Back!.....

    Dec. 25, 2012

Wow! That was the longest break from blogging I have ever taken...and I'm back. This month has been extremely busy, along with some personal life issues that have left me a little uninspired, and in great need of a break. I guess I went through one of those periods where life attacks at all angles, and you just have no desire to anything that you usually love. Plus I had no time or energy on top of that. Christmas time is a pretty emotional time for me, filled with more bad memories than happy ones. Though I have spent most of my adult  life changing that, it can still sting a little, especially being so far away from family.

Anywho...enough with the heavy, I hope you all have had a great holiday season! We have had a great Christmas, and everyone received awesome gifts! My in-laws spoiled all of us, because they are the most awesome of them all. I got fun nail polish pens, a cake-pop maker, new cupcake pan, cupcake pj's, Hello Kitty stuff, warm comfy leggins...and so much more! My family is so awesome :)

In the next few days I'm going to do some re-caps on some of my favorite posts from this year, especially some cupcake ones! I can't believe this year is almost over....I'm so sad! Plus my Birthday is in 8 days!! Yay! I can't believe I'm going to be 32! Time just flies by so quick.

Have a great day! xoxo

Wow, what a busy holiday season I've been having over here, I literally haven't been on my computer for two days. Which is a big deal, because I'm usually on here for something! I've also been in a little funk too. I just feel like I have lost a lot of inspiration lately. I've also been doing a little too much thinking, which usually happens around the holidays. I've been a little sad about a few family members. The worst part is, is that I can't express to them how I feel. Holidays are important no matter what anyone thinks, and when people purposely choose not to participate, it's disheartening. The holidays are all about giving. Giving your time, love and yes, even presents. Just a simple card is enough to show you care too. I'm sorry if I come off a little negative, but I just need to get it off my chest. I know I should be talking about my outfit too, and I would love to mention that I haven't been able to fit in those skinny jeans for over a year now! Yay me!

Well aside from me feeling a little blue, I hope all of you are having a great time doing whatever you do to have fun during the season of lights. We made ginger bread houses last weekend and they actually came out great! I kind of helped a lot, but that's okay. I love helping! That's it for now....What have you been up to?

Aren't All of these cupcakes amazing? I love them!! If I have some time today, I will be making the last ones here. It's super easy, and the recipe is on the link. I will probably make them from scratch though. These cupcakes have really put me in the mood to bake. My family and I have had an awesome weekend so far. We celebrated Bodhi Day, and made ginger bread houses! It was a win/win weekend. How are all you celebrations going?

Have a great day!

Fill In The Blanks

Friday, December 7, 2012

     Dec. 7, 2012

So, I haven't joined in on a Fill in the Blanks series in awhile! Lauren from thelittlethingswedo normally posts them, but today Kate from My Name is Purl will be hosting. I use to do these every Friday! Today's will have a U.K. vs U.S. theme :)

1. My favorite place I have visited (or would like to visit) in the US is    Boston, Mass   What I love most about it is all the old architecture and the feel of the city there. I haven't been there in a long time and I would love to go back and visit again.

2. My favorite place I have visited (or would like to visit) in Europe is    Germany    What I love most about it is    that my brother and his wife live there. My brother Scott was raised in Germany and I would love to be able to fly out and visit soon!!!

3. My favorite movie (location wise) set in the US is  Universal City, CA!!  because I grew up in Southern Cali and spent a lot of time going to Universal Studios and seeing the sets of all the different shows and movies that are made there! It's all very exciting and amazing on how they create all that magic!

4. My favorite movie (location wise) set in Europe is    New Zealand   Because that's where Lord OF The Rings was filmed!!! And that is my all time favorite movie trilogy and book series.

5. My favourite band/musician from the US is currently too many to count! I live in the U.S. so I have a huge list of artists that I love. My all time favorite are No Doubt, because I'm an Orange County girl like Gwen, otherwise I wouldn't have enough time in the day to list everyone.

6. My favorite band/musician from Europe is currently     is Adele . Her music is so soulful and I love her voice.

7. I love where I live in on The Jersey Shore  because I live right next to the ocean. Everything is pretty awesome here, even though we are still cleaning up after Hurricane Sandy. There's a lot to do and so many fun things to see!    And no, I do not know

So that's it for my blanks! I hope you join in too! I would love to read your blanks :)
Have a Great Day!

Poor Little Cupcake

     Dec. 5, 2012
Hey guys! I know I've only been posting about 3-4 times a week, the last couple of weeks, but I promise you I'm not going anywhere! There have been a few things in my personal life that have needed a little more attention.  My new job has been keeping me extra busy too. Today I have a little bit of sad news though. Cupcake had to get her shots and get fixed. It's so sad. She is doing better now, then she was when we first brought her home. She was a little drunk sailor. Now she is just super sleepy and needs lots of love and kisses! Hopefully she will be jumping around and playing with Kovu soon!

And what is feeling down without a little soft kitty song? It always makes me feel better!
I hope your all having a great week! It's almost the weekend...yay!

Decorating For The Holidays

Monday, December 3, 2012

 **My favorite Hello Kitty ornament**

**My kids helping out**

**Me being silly**

**Extra ornaments make great filler for center pieces**

And Done! ...kind of.

Over the weekend we finally put up the Christmas tree. We had decorations up already, but no tree. Everyone wanted to wait for my day off of work to put it up. We all love the holidays around here. Right when Thanksgiving hits we are all about the fun stuff! Decorations, yummy food, and celebrations! It's an awesome time of year. I love winter, and all the holidays that help us get through the cold weather. Though it hasn't been too cold yet. At least not what I'm use to, after living in Vermont for 4 years. Jersey is a little on the warmer side.

Our tree isn't quite done yet. We still have to get some extra garland to go around it. We thought we had enough, but we didn't. We also wanted to see how Cupcake was going to react to this new "toy" we put up in the living room. So far you can catch her sleeping under neath (pictured above) but don't let that cute face fool you! We have caught her 4 times inside the tree, near the top! She absolutely loves it, but we have to train her (the best we can, I guess for cats it's more like suggest) for her not to climb in it. She is so silly and cute, that it's hard to be mad at her.

Next weekend we celebrate Bodhi Day! I'm so excited! In Buddhist traditions we spend this day celebrating Buddha's awakening. This is our winter celebration, and we spend it decorating (another tree)  baking Bo tree (Bodhi) leaf shaped cookies, eating rice & milk, and reading some of the scriptures to remind of us of enlightenment. We also light a candle every night from the 8th for 30 days....we have many friends & family of all religions, so we celebrate Christmas & Winter Solstice too. I also love seeing all the pictures from wife's cousin and best friend friend who celebrate Hanukkah. Winter is such an awesome time especially in December. I hope you all have a great there something special you do during the holidays?

Look at all the awesome gingerbread cupcakes I found! I'm so excited for these, and I'm glad it's finally December so I can bake these and not look crazy! I could make pumpkin treats and gingerbread all year long, but I get curious looks for it. Anyway, I will be baking some of my own when I find some time in my crazy schedule. I really want to find some of those cute little gingerbread men sprinkles....aren't they cute? There are so many things I'm going to bake! I hope all of you are having a great weekend, we are putting up our Christmas tree today! Yay! What are you up to? Have you baked any yummy treats yet?
